Nov. 8, 2018 Board Meeting



November 8, 2018


7:00 pm

 The meeting was called to order by Board Vice Pres. K Buckman at 7:00 P.M.

Present:  Keith Buckman, Terry Johnson, Anthony Krebs, Supt. Northrop, Bus. Mgr. Berger, HS Prin. Kurle

Also present was Mr. & Mrs. McDowell and Kayla Henson from the Dickinson Press.

Pledge of Allegiance.

M/S Krebs/K. Johnson to approve the October 11, 2018 regular meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.

M/S Johnson/Krebs to approve the agenda.  Motion carried unanimously.

Randy McDowell presented information on the Explore America Tour.  M/S Krebs/Johnson to allow permission for this trip.  Motion carried unanimously.

Supt. Northrop reported on elementary student activities.

Prin. Kurle reported on JH and HS student activities.  He noted Miss ND presentation will be at both the elementary and high school level.

Bus. Mgr. Berger presented the financial reports for October 2018.

M/S Krebs/Johnson to approve payment of the bills.  Motion carried unanimously.

Supt. Northrop discussed the Feasibility Study, the emergency plan manual and presented a proposal for football bleachers.  He noted that the Board Policy Book has been reviewed and over the next few months older policies will be presented to be updated.  This will complete the update of the Board Policy Book.

Reports were give for RACTC and WRRS.

Wade Pierson has been offered and accepted the science position starting the second semester, upon the condition of receiving his teacher license.  He graduates in December.

CTS will be tabled until their report comes in.

Buckman noted the superintendent’s evaluations had come in and been reviewed with Supt. Northrop. All evaluations were satisfactory. M/S Johnson/Krebs to approve the superintendent’s evaluation as satisfactory and they thanked Supt. Northrop for his dedication to the board and the school district.  Motion carried unanimously.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for December 13, 2018 at 7:00 pm.
