At our monthly board meeting last night, the school board approved the amending of our 23-24 school calendar. Due to the cancellation of school on Oct. 26, and late start on Oct. 27, we will now have school on April 19, and all day on April 24. Spring P-T conferences have been moved to Feb. 21 & Feb. 28, from 3:30-6:30 PM. Finally, rather than PD days, there will be NO SCHOOL on Jan. 15 & Feb. 16. The amended calendar has been updated on our website. https://5il.co/28pfi

6th Graders mummified hot dogs for their unit on Ancient Egypt. They examined their mummies today, 24 days into the process. They compared size, color, smell, and weight to the regular hot dogs. After cutting their mummies apart, many attempted to hollow out the inside, and place them back into the baking soda, furthering the experiment.
